Eucalyptus Oil Essential Oil Indications/Uses

Eucalyptus Essential Oil has an array of uses. It combats mental fatigue by increasing blood flow to the brain, and thanks to its antiseptic properties, it also helps to clear skin infections and to combat or prevent various other bacterial or fungal infections. In addition to being antibacterial and antifungal, Eucalyptus Oil is antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and a decongestant. This makes it an excellent product for combating respiratory conditions, including sinus infections, asthma, sore throats, and more. The oil is useful for relief of muscle pain, may be used to treat symptoms of diabetes, to reduce fevers, to remove intestinal germs and to promote dental health.

Eucalyptus Oil Contra Indications

Eucalyptus Oil can be toxic in large quantities, and it may interfere with the effects of other remedies. Persons with allergies may develop airborne contact dermatitis after using this oil.

Essential Oils are natural, contracted oils that have the fragrance of the plant from which they originated. Most typically, the oils are extracted from the plant through distillation. In many cases, the distillation process involves the use of steam.  As steam passes through the plant’s stems, seeds, flowers or leaves, it assists in vaporizing the volatile compounds.

While essential oils have various uses, they have a long documented history of medicinal value. Essential Oils can support overall health, act as a treatment or remedy for various medical or psychological conditions or help prevent infections and illness.

Essential Oils should not be used on animals as they can have adverse effects.
